Ontario Human Capital Priorities (OHCP)
Candidate willing to apply for OHCP stream have to be selected already in the Express Entry Pool of CIC (Citizenship and Immigration Canada) and possesses the following things- Skills, experienced, language ability, and qualification as per applied field requirement.
How to Apply for OINP via OHCP?
- The aspirant willing to immigrate need to create Profile in the Express Entry System of CIC. After registration candidate will get an Express Entry profile number along with job seeker validation code or Candidate identifier code.
- Candidates Express Entry Profile must be approved by the CIC for either Canada Experience Class (CIC) or Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) in order to receive the Notification of Interest from Ontario.
Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (ONIP) Profile Parameters:
- The CRS (Comprehensive Ranking Score) score of the candidate in the Express Entry System should be minimum 400.
- The candidate should fulfil all the other required factors of OHCP of Ontario.
- After approval of application from CIC, the applicant has to accept this nomination within 30 days.
- Approval of nomination from Ontario province will add extra 600 points to your Express Entry Score and then after applicant will receive Invitation to apply(ITA) from CIC for Permanent Residence Visa. Once the candidate receives the ITA then within a period of 60 days he/she have to apply for the permanent residency.
- CIC will process your application for verification, so it is mandatory to provide the valid details and documents. The applicant has to go through a medical exam and police verification process.
Eligibility Criteria for OINP
- Job offer letter from an authorized employer
- Meets the prevailing wage in Ontario for that occupation.
- National Occupation Classification Skill Level C or D is required
- The candidate must have at least 12 months of work experience in full time (at least 1,560 hours per year).
- Have English or a French-language level of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4 (reading, writing, listening, and speaking).
- Candidate must have completed high school education or above, equivalent to the Canadian secondary school (high school)
- The document submitted by the candidate must be valid including the information provided otherwise during verification it details found incorrect, the application of the candidate gets rejected.
- Have sufficient funds to cover a cost for settlement in Ontario
